What to expect at auditions...
We are so excited about The Prince of Egypt auditions! Please arrive early to warm up, because we will not be doing a lot of warming up during the audition. You will start with a little ballet technique, learn some choreography from the show, and finish with some acting exercises. Not everyone who auditions will be cast in the show.
Pointe Roles...
If you are on pointe and would feel comfortable dancing a role on pointe, please let Miss Casey know via the registration form. Specify how long you have been dancing on pointe and when your last pointe class was. Please bring your pointe shoes to the audition if you would like to be considered for a pointe role.
D R E S S C O D E
Ladies:
Black leotard (no extra straps or undergarments should be seen. The neckline of the leotard must be no longer than four fingers from your collarbone and now low backs)
Black ballet skirt with black biker shorts underneath
Ballet tights
Ballet flats
Hair in either a bun or French twist
Costume note for female dancers:
Female dancers will need to provide their own black tank leotard and nude leotard for the performances. Black biker shorts and black leggings are also required for certain roles. Links at the bottom of the page.
Gentlemen:
Dark colored t-shirt (no large logos or graphics)
Black athletic pants/shorts
Black ballet shoes
C O M M I T T E E S
Each dancer will be required to sign up for a committee to help with the production of the show. Please note, if you have a dancer age 9-14, a parent may be asked to help with whatever committee they were assigned to.
